FAQ

Countertops & Kitchens FAQ

Can you go over my existing countertops?

Usually yes. Laminate, tile, and concrete counters are scuffed, primed, and poured in place — the old surface stays where it is, which is what keeps the cost and the downtime far below a replacement.

Is an epoxy countertop safe for food and hot pans?

The cured topcoat is food-safe and wipes clean like glass. Treat it like stone: use a board for cutting and a trivet for anything straight off the burner.

How long is my kitchen out of service?

Counters are typically poured in a day and back to light use within 48–72 hours as the topcoat reaches full hardness. Floors are scheduled around the counters so you lose the room once, not twice.
